How AI is Revolutionizing Real Estate and Your Daily Life

I’ve been quiet over the last few weeks, but I haven’t been away.

I’ve been working on a new project I am incredibly proud of, and am thrilled to share today.

I am a marketer working in the multifamily real estate industry. Generative AI made it’s public debut in November 2022 with Open AI‘s release of ChatGPT. I was immediately captivated. My mind was reeling with all the ways this would change marketing forever.

I wasn’t the only one. This technology took the world by storm reaching one million users in only 5 DAYS!

Recently, I’ve started exploring how this technology can revolutionize multifamily real estate marketing and operations.

This content is for everyone, even those who don’t work in real estate. The unique thing about real estate is that it touches all of us. Everybody needs somewhere to live and benefits from understanding how the dynamics of the industry will impact YOUR living experience.

I also foresee significant cross over in what’s next for our experiences in tourism and hospitality.

The Journey So Far:

My research shares incredible opportunities and challenges. While there’s a lot of buzz about AI’s potential, practical applications in real estate are still emerging. Companies are beginning to utilize this technology, but widespread adoption is not as advanced as many might believe.

Key Insights from My Research:
  • Customer Experience: The renter’s journey is an emotional rollercoaster, from initial excitement to eventual relief, often tarnished by stress and frustration throughout most of the process. Generative AI can make this experience better.
  • Operational Efficiencies: AI-powered tools are enhancing decision-making and customer experiences, contributing to NOI gains of over 10% for some real estate companies (McKinsey & Company).
  • You Need an AI Strategy: Generative AI isn’t magic. We can’t just flip a switch solve the challenges of the real estate industry. There are important pitfalls to be aware of and companies need well-designed AI strategies for implementation.
Future Possibilities: 

The potential for AI in real estate is vast. From predictive maintenance to personalized resident experiences, the opportunities are endless. However, successful implementation requires change management and a committed team.
